The Tuxedo Dial Watch | Watch Detail
M.R.M.W. / WATCH DETAIL
Concentric contrasts with a classical sense of elegance.
M.R.M.W. × KEYFORD
KEYFORD adds new elements to classical design, drawing on the watchmaking heritage of Muramatsu Watch Manufacturing, established in 1893. M.R.M.W. faithfully recreates classic vintage military watches for everyday use. The tuxedo dial brings these two approaches together.
Discover the Tuxedo Dial
Designed to complement formal dress, the tuxedo dial is also known as a bull’s-eye dial and works equally well with casual clothes. Its concentric rings alternate light and dark tones. A lasting dress-watch classic, it expresses the elegance suggested by “très chic.”

The Tuxedo Dial
Dress watches are simple, elegant timepieces traditionally intended for formal occasions and business wear. The bull’s-eye name refers to the dial’s target-like concentric circles; related designs are also called Art Deco dials.
Collectors use these terms in different ways. Some reserve “tuxedo” for a black-ringed dial without luminous treatment, while “bull’s-eye” may refer to military-influenced examples or a copper dial with a black band. Both are familiar, popular designs in vintage watches from the 1940s.
Part military, part dress watch; modern yet classical. These apparently opposing qualities create a versatile, enduring appeal.
Tuxedo Gray Dial
A deep dark-gray center reveals subtle vertical lines in changing light. Pale-orange outlines emphasize the black circular band and Arabic numerals. The seconds railway track and KEYFORD logo use the same pale orange to bring the design together. Silver-colored pencil hands match the case and carry luminous treatment in a color coordinated with the numerals.
Tuxedo Copper Dial
The dial has a subdued gold-copper finish. A formal black circular band, KEYFORD logo and railway track provide definition, while pale-orange Arabic numerals and track details bring warmth and cohesion. Silver-colored pencil hands match the case and use luminous treatment in the same tone as the numerals.
