The US military developed the Buships watch for UDT (Underwater Demolition Team) personnel in the 1940s. Buships is a model that has been loved for many years, with nicknames such as "Canteen" (water bottle) and "Frogman" (frog man) from the UDT team's nickname for its charming body. In response to requests, Buships has released the long-awaited all-black series. The black series, which matches any scene and color, is available in two types.
Buship Black Ops
The UDT's mission was to sneak into the sea from the enemy and eliminate obstacles that would prevent the landing of the allies by setting explosives . Therefore, I heard that even if they were caught in enemy territory, they did not bring anything that would identify them. In fact, there were no black-colored Buships. Black Ops is an abbreviation of black operation, which means unofficial operation (black operation, black op, black ops). The black IP-treated stainless steel case, black dial, and white indexes provide the best visibility. Since the IP black model does not exist, the name "unofficial operation" fits well.

Many years ago, J. Peterman produced a reproduction of a World War I Navy Diver’s watch. I loved the style (small black case, Arabic numbers with black leather band). I could afford a larger Rolex, Omega, Panerai or similar dive watch but with the small size, the J. Peterman reproduction was my go-to dress up watch though proved to be fairly fragile. Since that time, I have acquired a real canteen crown BUSHIPS watch as well as a Zeno reproduction and an M.R.M.W. BUSHIPS E series reproduction. The BUSHIPS BLACKOPS with black band is fairly similar to the J. Peterman watch. I’ve had your BUSHIPS E series reproduction for a few years and ordered another to test in the ocean. I’ll give you a review of that experiment in the future. Many thanks for producing a classic dive watch with modern guts at an attractive price.
