We’ve reissued the classic AN5740 Master Navigation Watch so it can be worn not only as a pocket watch but also as a wristwatch.

This is a navigation pocket watch used by the U.S. Army and Navy during World War II. The model name is “AN5740.” The “A” stands for ARMY, and the “N” stands for Navy. We’ve fitted this pocket watch with a specialized case to create a timepiece that can be enjoyed as either a wristwatch or a pocket watch. (Design patent registered)

Even today, there are products that encase a pocket watch in a leather cover to turn it into a wristwatch. However, these inevitably end up being large and bulky. The strap cover hides the pocket watch’s form, compromising its original shape and character. While welding the lugs is certainly a simple method, it means you can never enjoy it as a pocket watch again. With this product, you can enjoy it both as an authentic pocket watch and as a wristwatch. This dial is simple and offers excellent readability.We’ve fitted a small pocket watch—the type actually issued to U.S. Army nurses—into the AN5740 case.It uses a CITIZEN MIYOTA 12-hour mechanical movement.
