Buships UDT Pointer

"Buships Watch" is a special waterproof wristwatch manufactured by Hamilton and Elgin in the 1940s and 1950s.
It was developed and distributed to members of the U.S. Navy Special Forces UDT (Underwater Demolition Team), which was formed during the WWII era. UDT is also the predecessor of the United States Navy SEALs, the world-renowned special forces unit of the U.S. military today.
This product has a cylindrical crown cap and is a reprint of the Hamilton type. Among them, we have reprinted a very rare model, the dial with a water intrusion pointer that indicates the intrusion of water or moisture through a change in color.
This "flooding pointer" is often seen on military watches for divers from this era, but it is extremely rare to see it used on Buships Watch. The color tells you when water has entered the watch, prompting you to repair the watch before it is damaged, and letting you know that the time displayed on the watch is not accurate. The circular water immersion pointer at 6 o'clock on the Buships UDT Pointer dial is normally dark orange, but turns green when moisture enters the watch. This flood pointer was reprinted using our original technology, which MRMW spent two years developing.
